Our approach to
Principal Designer role is proactive. It includes methodical identification of health and safety risks anticipated during design,
construction and
post construction and assisting the project team in managing these risks in a practical and sensible manner. The above approach is driven from our extensive experience and knowledge of providing impartial and independent CDM services (including
Principal Designer and previous CDM Co-ordinator roles) since our inspection in 2008.
Safescope has developed an in-house bespoke process, applying Construction Safety Engineering principles, to bring the value for Clients with effective application of the CDM Regulations. On larger complex projects we carry out Design Safety Workshop and produce Project Health and Safety Risk Registers to identify and manage the project health and safety risks.
Our CDM team is led by Dr. Khalid Bhutto (BEng MSc PhD CMIOSH FCIOB FaPS) who is the founding director of Safescope. He holds impressive qualifications in civil engineering, construction and health and safety. Khalid has as an impressive standing in the industry and is known for his straightforward and practical approach to the application of the CDM Regulations.
