CDM Co-ordinator

The appointment of a CDM Co-ordinator is a legal requirement when construction work involves 30 days or more or 500 person days on site. We provide the CDM Co-ordinator role in accordance with the CDM Regulations 2007, fulfilling all relevant legal duties.

SafeScope has extensive experience of providing a CDM Co-ordinator role on various different types of projects including demolition, strip-out, refurbishment, conversion and new build construction. Please see some recent projects in right hand side column where SafeScope have been appointed as CDM Co-ordinator.

Our staff members who undertake the CDM Co-ordinator role are fully trained and qualified to Registered Fellow (RFaPS) and Membership (RMaPS) levels to the Association for Project Safety. Please see Our People section for details and CVs of the relevant staff members.

We aim to take a positive approach when undertaking a CDM Co-ordinator role ensuring the legal duties are performed in a most co-operative and supportive manner. In addition to being a key health and safety advisor to the Client of the project, we assist all project parties including Designers and Principal Contractors to ensure that the project is completed successfully without any incident or accident and that post completion maintenance issues are considered.

In addition to the required legal duties, we also undertake the following services, if required for projects.

  • Site Health and Safety Monitoring and Inspections at regular intervals to ensure that good standards of health and safety are maintained.

  • Project Health and Safety Risk Workshop/s to identify, evaluate and manage project risks early in the project design process. We produce a project Health and Safety Risk Register following each workshop. The register is regularly updated throughout the project.

  • Health and Safety Competency Checks on designers, (Principal) contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers..
