Professional Profile:

Graduating (with Honours) as a Civil Engineer in 1993, Dr Bhutto has been in the industry now for more than 14 years. He is Director of SafeScope Ltd.

Previously, he was on Board of Directors of MLM Consulting Engineers. He developed a successful consultancy business for MLM. His experience includes CDM Co-ordinator framework agreements with Environment Agency and Kings College London, developing repeat clients business and delivery of agreed Client service levels. He established a best practice designer CDM (Construction Design and Management Regulations) process which was shortlisted for Building Magazine (in association with HSE) Awards in 2006.

He has provided H&S consultancy support to organisations such as AEMS, Environment Agency, Viridor Waste Management, PRI, and Dabbrook Services etc, and has co-ordinated the H&S arrangements for Ellipta (a consortium of Bureau Veritas, Brian Pyle Associates, Curtins, Knapp Hicks and MLM).  In addition, he developed a best practice framework for IMS during his doctorate in support with Carillion, Mansell, Henry Boot, Shepherd Construction and MJ Gleesons.

His major projects in his career as a Civil Engineer include a £90 million Canal Rehabilitation and Improvement Project (1995) and a £20 million Carriageway Project (1993-1994).
